While all ministries are equally important, there are occasions where our volunteer pool is understaffed. This makes it difficult for Shepherd to fulfill its calling to that ministry.

By sharing the TOP NEEDS list with you quarterly, it's our goal to communicate to you these specific needs. If you are able to serve, please click below to sign up. If you are not able to help in these areas, we ask for your prayers as we continue to look for ways to fill these spots.

Hospitality is one of Shepherd’s Core Values. Hospitality volunteers play a key role in making the best first impression for our visitors and members.

USHER TEAM

Greet, welcome, and assist people in the sanctuary. Help guests while they worship and hear the message of Jesus.

*COFFEE CREW

Prepare coffee and set up the coffee station. What's better than coffee? Coffee & Donuts! Once a month, share your servant heart by serving everyone’s favorite treat-Donuts!

COMMUNION SETUP & TAKEDOWN

The Sacrament of communion is vital to the life of believers. In this role, you will prepare the elements and set the altar for communion. Depending on the service you attend, these tasks are done either before or after the service.

Through the use of music and technology the worship experience is enhanced and the Gospel message is shared with those within the church walls and throughout the world.

PRAISE BAND

Have you been blessed with a musical gift? Audition to be part of the music ministry. Currently we utilize keys, drums, bass & guitar but are open to incorporating other instruments.

SCREEN OPERATOR

If you are interested in what happens in the tech booth, this is a great and easy opportunity! Using a created presentation, you advance the cues so they display on the worship screens during the appropriate times in the worship service. Training provided.

LIVESTREAM CONTROLLER

Connect our worship service and share the Gospel message to those watching from afar. Training is provided for this exciting ministry.

People caring for people with willing hands and feet while sharing the love of Christ.

FUNERAL HELPERS

Share your gifts of preparing food, serving and/or cleaning up while we host post funeral meals.

FUNERAL BAKERS

Do you love to bake? We need dessert bakers to be shared at funeral dinners.

SHUT-IN DRIVERS

Offer a ride to those that need help getting to appointments, church or other needs.

SHUT-IN VISITORS

Spend time with people that are unable to get out of the house very often or don’t have many family or friends. Talk, play a game or simply watch a show together.

MEAL MAKERS

Cook or provide a meal for families with an illness or someone going through difficult times.

DONATION DELIVERY TEAM

Join our team of volunteers to help load and or deliver household donations monthly on the third Saturday of each month. You can commit to as many or as few months as you’d like!

FOOD DRIVE HELPERS

If you like to move around and be active, consider helping collect, organize and load donations. (various dates)

Help grow the Holy Spirit within our people by lending a hand in Spiritual Growth activities.

RESOURCE ORGANIZER

Our shelves need help! If you like getting things into order, come spend some time helping to organize and inventory our Resource Library.

INFO CREATOR

We are looking for occasional help with creating informational folders and such. If you are good at collating, stuffing and sorting, this is for you!

EVENT SETTER

Seasonally we need assistance preparing for large events. Enjoy moving, need more steps? Come help set up some tables and chairs!

Our children and youth are the future of the church. Join one of our teams to help engage and grow our young people. There is something for everyone here.

NURSERY CAREGIVERS

Love babies & toddlers? Our caregivers are the best! Opportunities on Sundays and throughout the week.

Make a difference in the next generation by helping children (ages 3 - Grade 5) grow in their faith. (September - May)

CONFIRMATION LEADER

Connect & build relationships with a small group of Confirmation students on Sunday mornings. (Sept - May)

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL HELPERS

Sharing Jesus with the children in our community in an outdoor setting. A variety of opportunities to get involved with! (July 22-25, 9am-noon)

SO-SEW SATURDAY TEAM

A fun intergenerational ministry where children (age 5+) learn to sew quilts for the community. Opportunities for children & adults!

SO-SEW MONDAY TEAM

An afternoon experience of sandwiching quilts, laughs, and service.

EGG-FEST

Egg Hunt! Pizza! Cookies! An opportunity to welcome the community on Palm Sunday for an egg hunt. Hide eggs! Welcome guests! Pass out pizzas!

PIZZA TEAM

Dough Parties! Toss & Sauce Parties! Pizza Topping Parties! Join the fun throughout the year making pizzas for EGG-Fest, VBS, and other church events.

Shepherd is a fun place to worship, learn and serve but we need help communicating all the fun stuff happening throughout the building on Sundays.

SOCIAL MEDIA ROVER

Do you enjoy taking pictures, videos and/or posting social media content? Well, here's your chance to capture the Shepherd experience from your vantage point on Sundays. This could be for any Sunday service but we're looking for balcony shots, band close-ups, some short video clips, etc. We will need someone capturing the experience on the Children & Youth side of the building as well. Please consider joining the Digi Team!
