WHAT WE BELIEVE
WHAT WE BELIEVE
GRACE ALONE
God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
FAITH ALONE
By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
SCRIPTURE ALONE
The Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.
COMMUNION
We take the words of Jesus at face value when He says about the Lord’s Supper, “This is my body” and “This is my blood” (Matt 26:26-29). We believe that Jesus is present in this meal and through it, He delivers for us the gifts of forgiveness for sins and strength for living in His will. Scripture teaches (1 Cor 11:17-34) that everyone who receives these gifts to their benefit has 2 things in common:
1. They share a common faith about the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, and what God has done to adopt them as His children, and
2. They recognize their need for the forgiveness that Jesus offers.
We want you to join us in receiving these gifts through communion, so if you are unsure about any of these things, please speak with a pastor prior to receiving communion for the first time.
