SHEPHERD OF THE HILLS

CHILDREN & YOUTH

"TRAIN A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO, AND WHEN HE IS OLD HE WILL NOT TURN FROM IT."

PROVERBS 22:6

You are a vital part of our church.  Your children will enjoy the interactive programs we have available.  Children Ages 3 – High School have the opportunity to grow in their faith while having fun!  From Kidz Konnection to VBS, from Confirmation Camp to High School Mission Trips – Shepherd’s youth are an active and thriving part of our congregation.

KIDZ KONNECTION

Praying you are all staying safe and healthy!

Here are a few ideas to help your children stay connected to God’s Word. Attached you will find an activity that encourages writing letters to residents at Cecelia Place in Pewaukee.  We meet with the residents weekly for a devotion and have been unable to do so because of restrictions.

In addition, below is a link to Seeds Family Worship and Go FIsh Resources to help engage your kids in fun bible-based activity.

HIGH SCHOOL MISSION TRIP WEEK - 2020

Bummed not to travel but so very thankful to serve locally this year.

A special thanks to everyone that served with us this year. What an awesome experience!

HIGH SCHOOL STUDY & COLLEGE CONNECTION

Dear High School Students, We are so excited to announce the start of our Summer 2020 High School Bible Study starting in June!

With the school year coming to a close, this will be a great way to connect with all of our Shepherd high schoolers and have a weekly opportunity to dig into God's word. This Bible Study will be connecting over Zoom with the link provided through the GroupMe app. If you are interested in this hour of devotion, please contact Chad Jacobsen, Alex Steinhaus, or Mariah Richardson so that we can include you in the GroupMe chat to send updates on this opportunity. We would love to share this virtual experience with you!

SO-SEW SATURDAY - CHILDREN & VOLUNTEERS

CALLING ALL SEAMSTRESSES!

Children's Hospital of Milwaukee needs our help sewing masks.  Please click on the PDF file below for the sewing instructions.  Once the masks are completed, please place them in a ziplock bag and put them in Shepherd's dropbox located outside of the Fellowship Hall entrance.  You can also drop them off Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - noon and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Children's Corporate Center lobby (999 North 92nd Street, Milwaukee, WI 53226).  Thanks for being a blessing to others!

SO-SEW SATURDAY - CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

To date, the Shepherd family has worked together to create over 1100 quilts for the Robyn's Nest (a Children's Hospital affiliation serving children in foster care), the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center, and for La Causa (a crisis center for children ages 0-12).  Our hope is to resume this fall to create quilts for children at The Robyn's Nest and LaCausa, & for patients at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center. There are many opportunities to serve! We would love for volunteers to join us on Monday afternoons as we prepare the quilts for our Kidz Konnection students to knot (no sewing experience required). We are also looking for a few people to sew around the edges of the quilts. Please check back to see our updated schedule.  Thanks for sharing your gifts!
